The origin of Taurus had relations with a pretty woman in the world whom was pursued by Zeus.

Europa was the princess of Phoenicia. She lived in a rich and steady family. Every morning, she went outside with her friends to play or pick flowers.

But one day, Zeus took a fancy to her. He became an ox with snow-white body and came to the side of Europa. He squatted tenderly. Europa felt very comfortable and friendly, so she sat on the back of the ox. At the time, she prepared to invite her friends coming to ride with her, the ox started to run, from lands to the ocean, and finally stopped in the island of Crete. And then, they fell in love with each other.

Zeus loved this girl dearly. The name of Europe was coming from her name. And in order to memorize such affair, Zeus made the image of the ox that he used to purse Eruopa becoming the constellation in the sky.
