Cut
Cut shows the mental condition of the questioner at that time. It is also the attitude of the questioner when he faces his problem. While in divination, except using the indication card, otherwise the steps of Cut should not be ignored. We can understand the real mind of the questioner, meanwhile we can have the elementary knowledge for that question.
The steps for Cut: After Cut, arrange the cards orderly. Make the positive figures of the whole cards downwards and place them in front of the questioner. The questioner uses his/her hand (either right hand or left hand) to take parts of the cards and place them next to the original cards. The bottom card of the taken parts is Cut.
To help you understand such technique, we take some examples for explanation.
Sample 1: A girl asks the emotion for her and two men (A and B). Both time she gets the Cut are Cups IV. We can guess that she is still not satisfied such situation even if she has two choices. To her, these two choices are not perfect.
Sample 2: A girl asks about the examination and she gets the Pentacles VIII. Obviously, she tried hard before.
Sample 3: A business man asks about his career and he gets the Temperance. We can bravely guess the current work that he engages must be trade. He has the dealings or contact with the foreigners.
Sample 4: A man asks about his study and he gets the Fool. He probably is fond of playing and lives in idleness or he lakes of detailed plan. Such guess can be verified in the later spreads.
Sample 5: A man asks about the emotion between him and his girl friend. What he gets is Cups VIII. The situation is not good. He would like to leave his girl friend.
Sample 6: A girl asks about the emotion between her and her boy friend. What she gets is Cups II. They are passionately in love still.
If you use indication card, the Cut can be omitted. It would be better for you to choose either one of them and do no omit them as possible. Otherwise, you might omit important messages.
