Significator Card
At present, the Tarot book in the bookshops seems seldom to refer the concept of Significator card. Yet, the Significator card is a good important card in the divination of Tarot.
It is not a certainty that every spread needs to use Significator card. Yet, in some spread (especial the Celtic Cross Spreads), the Significator card is very important for it can reveal the basic characteristics of the questioner and show the interactive between the questioner and the condition he faces.
In most of the situations, we can use court card as the Significator card. First, we have understand the sixteen court cards completely. In daily life, we must observe the characters for other people and sort them out. In addition, the role of the court card is decided by the character but not the sex. When you are familiar with the court cards, you can observe what kind of roles that your relatives play in different situations in advance.
The Significator card usually will be selected by the divinator while deciding the spreads of the cards. Yet, to most of the Tarot player, to find a correct Significator card at the first time is not easy and the probability of wrong card chosen is also higher that other time. So, the simplest way is to use Cut instead. If the card you get is court card, it can be used to represent the character of the questioner. Another way is that the divinatory chooses several possible cards and let the questioner draws out the one representing him. |
