The structure of Court Card
The court card is the difficult portion fort he beginner. Here provides you the structure and the skill of explanation for the court cards. In divination, the court card can represent:
1 someone (might be the querent or others) 2 someone’s character(might be the querent or others) 3 some situation
We choose the Waite system for explanation. We can think king, queen, knight and page are of the same family. The king is father, the queen is mother, the knight is son and the page is daughter. The all come from the same family. Yet they express different characters for different identities. For example, the family of Cups possesses the element of water. They have rich emotion and are full of perceptivity. They emphasize the human relations. The father of Cups is a mature and steady father. The mother of Cups can sacrifice for her children without any condition. The son of Cups is a romantic poet. And the daughter of Cups is full of illusion.
The king can be regarded as the minor edition of the Emperor. And the queen can be regarded as the minor edition of the Empress and the High Priestess. And the knight is a man who has not mature mental and about 25 to 40 years old. The page is teenager boys and girls. They are students in the cards.
One thing you have to notice is that the sex and age are just for your reference. It might have exception. In the divination, it should be based on the querent’s character.
